The YEH Yearbook: Class of 2008

In 2008, the USEA Young Event Horse Program (YEH) had 20 competitions on the YEH calendar, 36 horses who qualified to compete in the championships, and 15 horses who competed in the 2008 USEA YEH Championships held in Wayne, Illinois at Lamplight Equestrian Center.

Update on the Holekamp/Turner Grant and The Dutta Corp. Prize

The FEI World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses at Mondial du Lion will take place this week on October 15-18, 2020 in Le Lion d’Angers, France. Competitors come from all over the world to showcase their 6- and 7-year-old event horses. The 6-year-old Championship is a CCIYH2*-L and the 7-year-old Championship is a CCIYH3*-L.

New Location Announced for The Dutta Corp. USEA YEH East Coast Championships

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) has secured a new venue for The Dutta Corp. USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) East Coast Championships for 2020. After the Fair Hill Organizing Committee announced that the inaugural Maryland Five-Star at Fair Hill would be postponed until 2021, the USEA began accepting expressions of interest to host this year’s East Coast Championships.

Broussard Charitable Foundation Trust to Offer One-Time "Going Forward" USEA Members Grants

The Broussard family, through the Broussard Charitable Foundation Trust, has announced that for 2020 only, several special educational grants will be available to USEA members. The Trust has made a very generous gift of $25,000 to the USEA Foundation to be awarded to deserving candidates 18 years old and above who are passionate about moving their commitment to the sport forward.

The YEH Yearbook: Class of 2007

In 2007, the fourth year of the USEA Young Event Horse Program (YEH), there were 15 qualifiers on the YEH calendar and the championships were held at a new location. Previously held at Moven Park in Leesburg, Virginia, the 2007 USEA YEH Championships were held in Wayne, Illinois at Lamplight Equestrian Center the day before the start of the USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC).

Worth The Trust Scholarship Postponed to 2022

The 2021 Worth The Trust Scholarship, which was slated to be awarded at the 2020 USEA Annual Meeting & Convention in December, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Information will be released next year about applying for the 2022 scholarship, which will be awarded in December of 2021 for use during the 2022 calendar year.

Request For Expressions of Interest: The 2020 YEH East Coast Championships

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is now accepting expressions of interest to host The Dutta Corp. USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) East Coast Championships in 2020. The Fair Hill Organizing Committee (FHOC) announced that the inaugural Maryland Five-Star at Fair Hill will be postponed until 2021, which will now also impact the YEH Championships. While the FHOC is eager to continue to host The Dutta Corp. USEA YEH Championships in 2021, the USEA is now in need of a 2020 venue for the East Coast.
