Kent School Spring H.T.

Come join us as we celebrate the 40thanniversary of the Kent School horse trials and slowly reopen some of the natural forest terrain that local riders will remember from our earliest years in the 1980’s. Our anniversary festivities will begin with a welcoming party for all riders and friends from 4-6 pm on Saturday, June 20. Skiff Mountain is calling you and your horse. Please be part of our celebration.

Over bridge and an immediate right for 4.5 miles to top of hill. Continue straight past turnoff to Marvelwood School. From West: Route 684 to Route 22 North to Route 55 East. At end of Route 55, left to Route 7 north to Kent to traffic light. As above. From North: Route 7 south to Kent to traffic light, right on Route 341. From East: Route 341 west to Kent to traffic light. As above.

Sat: Cross-country course open Saturday-3 pm. Sat: 4-6 PM Officials, competitors, staff and volunteers welcome party at Headquarters. Sun: Dressage 8 am; Show Jumping-10:00 am; Cross-country-10:30 am. Note: All scheduled stadium times are approximate only and are subject to change throughout the day. Jumping times are scheduled in a compressed format, competitors should report to show jumping in their XC attire.

Stabling: $70.00 plus $25.00 clean stall deposit refunded after stalls arecleaned andchecked. Other fees:$25 USEA starter fee for BN, N, T and M; $8 USEF Admin Fee for M; $25 change fee for each change to entry made after the closing date. Modified riders, owners and trainers must be current USEF members or pay a $45 show pass fee. $25 post-entry fee for any entries accepted after the closing date. $20 incomplete entry fee for ALL ENTRIES NOT COMPLETED BY THE CLOSING DATE (this includes entries missing signatures & coggins) Refunds: Before C.D. - Less $25 non-refundable office fee. Entries

Entry fee includes $25 non-refundable office fee. Please CLEARLY PRINT email address on your entry form. Divisionsmay be split or combined if necessary. Please state age and experience on entry form. If overbooked, management reserves right to limit a rider to 2 horses in competition. USEAcurrent membership(Junior, Collegiate, Full, or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at alllevels, except Intro. Intro competitors are exempt from the USEA membership/non-membership fees and the USEA Starter/D&M fees do not apply. Coggins required for all horses within 12 months of the competition date. Ambulance on grounds. All vans & trailers park in designated areas, not in stable yard. No hookups. M-2250 m @ 490 mpm. T- 2000 m @ 420 mpm. N-up to 2000 m @ 375 mpm. BN-up to 2000 m @ 325 mpm. Intro has alimited distanceat 1200m, time not taken. All courses: Inviting, for horses with some experience ateach level or as a first event at a move up level. Gentle, mostly flat terrain. Some new fences have been added at all levels, including Intro. There is a natural water crossing on course at each level except Intro.Cross-country course closed June 1st.

Awards

Trophy & 8 ribbons per division plus 1st place dressage ribbon in each division with Kent Schoolmemorabiliafor first place in each division. Special Awards:The Gillian Perry Good Sportsmanship Award (GPGSA). A pewter trophy will be awarded to the participant,in some capacity,that exemplifies good sportsmanship during the competition at the discretion of the GPGSA Committee. Thoroughbred IncentiveProgram(TIP) Awards: Ribbons and prize awarded to the best scoring TIP eligible horse at each level (M, T, N, BN, Intro). Only Thoroughbreds that have been registered with the Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club are eligible to participate in T.I.P. classes and awards. Riders and owners should obtain a TIP number for all horse/rider combinations. TIP number applications are done online at http://www.tjctip.com TIP numbers must be provided to the secretary.

Stabling/Veterinarian

All stablingon grounds in permanent stalls, however, only a limited number of stalls are available on a first come first serve basis. $70/stall with a separate check for each horse's $25 stall deposit. Stalls must bethoroughly cleaned, banked,and checked prior to departure for return of stall deposit.Stall doors withinitial1 bag of bedding provided. Additional shavings are available at $8 per bag. Other Information

Show Jumping will be on the grass in the Grand Prix Ring, weather permitting, or in the Sand Ring, if not. Divisions further divided/combined if entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. XC pinny holder required with # insert provided. There will be a limited number of holders available on grounds for $20 each. No hay or feed is available for sale on grounds. Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted.
