Directions:
From I-94, take Decatur/Dowagiac exit to M51 South (turn right towards Decatur/Dowagiac).  Approximately 3 miles, turn right (west) on 76th Ave.  Chardon Valley is approximately 1 mile west on the left.  Look for white fencing and stabling, with green barn set well off the road.  Follow signs for parking.  Chardon Valley Farm 44767 76th Ave, Decatur, MI 49045

Tentative Schedule:
Tentative ride times will be available online September 7, 2017 at useventing.com and www.eventingmighigan.org.  Schedules will also be available at eventingscores.com.
Fri: Stabling opens at 11:00 am. Cross-country course open - 3:00 pm.
Sat: Dressage will start no earlier than 8:00 am Saturday morning, 9/9/2017. Cross-country will tentatively start no earlier than 9:30 am Saturday morning, 9/9/2016.  Competitor/Volunteer/Sponsor Party Saturday after cross country 6-9pm ?(Competitors free, Non-Competitors $10.00 per person, to be paid at time of entry. Pulled Pork,  Salads, Sides, Desert and Beverage Included).   
Sun: Show Jumping will start no earlier than 9:00 am Sunday morning, 9/10/2017.

Starting Times:
Fri: Cross-country course opens-3:00 pm.
Sat: Dressage-8 am; Cross-country-10:00 am.
Sun: Show Jumping-9:00 am.

Fees:

Event Fees Directory: Draw checks to: Chardon Valley Farm.
Entry: T/N/BN: $120.00; Starter: $90.00.
(Entry Fee includes admission to competitors party, 6-9pm Saturday evening, all others $10 each, please pay for additions to your party in advance so we can plan for enough food.  Pulled pork, sides, desert, drinks included)
Stabling: $160.00
Showing off trailer: $60 (All horses must have a stall if staying over night.  No horses allowed at the trailer overnight).
Bagged bedding (Shredded straw): $8 a bag
Muck Fee: $30.00 separate check from entries: to be refunded by tearing up check at end of weekend unless stall requires cleaning by organization.
Competitor Party: $10.00/person non-competitor admission fee (competitor admission included in entry).


Refund Policy: Entry fee includes a $25 non-refundable office fee. Refunds requested in writing before the closing date will be refunded in full (minus the $25 office fee).  Refunds will be granted after closing date only if place can be filled from wait list, no exceptions.  All refund requests must be in writing, emails are acceptable.
USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy:
The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($21), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be
returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.
Event cancellation policy:  
Refunds will be mailed after competition expenses are covered.

Entries:
All entries include a $25 non-refundable office fee.
Late fees: $30 Entries will only be accepted IF time allows.  Late entries accepted only upon approval.
X-Entries must mail entries, Coggins, Release Form and payment (if not paid online) postmarked no later that two days after the online submission.    **If entries are not paid in full by the closing date, entry will be discarded unless further arrangements are made.**  
Changes to entries: $25 fee will be charged for Each change requested after closing date.  Change requests must be emailed to show secretary for proof of request.

Awards:
Overall High Dressage Percentage (lowest penalty score). Lazer Scribes Stone Plaques for each division winners, Ribbons to 8th place in each division.
Stabling/Veterinarian:
Stabling: 10x10 Portable stabling in tents provided by American Stall Rental, Marshall, Michigan.  Stall doors provided. Bagged bedding (Shredded straw) available for purchase $8/bag.  Veterinarian: Dr. Matt Randolf, DVM (574)633-2146.  Farrier: Brian Evans CF APF (269)312-3545. Vet and Farrier information will be posted at the show office.

Dressage:
T-2014 USEF Training Test A-Sm. N-2014 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm. Starter-2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm.  Sand Dressage rings, crowned for excellent draining with PVC dressage ring.  Grass warm up areas and Large indoor arena available for schooling on Saturday for Dressage.   
Cross-Country:

Training.-2600 m @ 420 mpm 2 waters, jump out of water, drop into water, banks, trakehner, ditch, table, more combinations added.  
Novice.-1800 m @ 375mpm.,  water crossing, banks, ditch, table, trakehner.  
Beginner Novice-1800 m @ 350 mpm, water crossing optional, banks, table.  
Starter – 1300m @ 275 mpm, mostly plain logs, no banks, water optional, max 2’3” several new fences on starter.  
Terrain:  banks  appropriate for level, on all courses.   X-C course flat and open with short paths thru woods, questions fair and strait forward appropriate at all levels. Good footing in any weather, much of course tiled for drainage. Show Jumping and warm-up on Grass. 
Cross-country course closed 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition.

Other Information:
Pinny holders recommended. Paper and Bridle numbers will be provided.
Cross-country course closed 2 weeks prior to the start of the competition.
Concessions will be available Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday, catered by Chatterbox Food Truck. Breakfast also available.
Negative Coggins dated January 1, 2017 to present must accompany all entries.
We will be utilizing StartBox Scoring throughout this event.  Scores will be available online during this event.
New pedestrian gates and wash area will be available for this event.
Personal cars to be parked in designated areas.
