From I-25 North or South
: Exit Clines Corners (Hwy 285), south 6.5 mi; right on Hwy 41 for 4 mi  Goose Downs Farm on west side of road opposite mile marker 58. 
From I-40 East:  Moriarty Exit to Hwy 41 (Howard Cavasos Blvd), 30 mi to mile marker 58.  Goose Downs on west side of the road. 

I-40 West:  Exit Clines Corners North, Hwy 285 N 30 miles to HWY 41, turn left, 4 mi.  Goose Downs Farm on west side of road, opposite mile marker 58.

SAT: Show Jumping schooling $20/round -Pre-Comp/10:00 am BN/10:30, N/12:00, T/1:30, P/2:30.  Ride your test Dressage Schooling $20 per test ridden beginning at 11:00am.  
Cross Country opens–12:00 noon , Competitors Welcome Reception and briefing 4:00 to 6:00 in Goose Downs Barn Courtyard. 

SUN:  Dressage 8:00am / Show Jumping – 10:30 am, XC----1:00pm.   Awards to follow immediately at completion of tabulations by division.
XC Schooling TBD---$40 per horse (as schedule allows on Sunday after completion or Monday morning the 27th.  Final schedule will be announced at competitor briefing at the latest).

Use of USEA XEntry welcomed. Double entries not accepted. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 with entry. Pre-Comp entrants are exempt from USEA Starter and Drug fees and USEA membership/non-membership fees. CT entrants must be a USEA member or pay the $25 non-member fee with entry.  All other competitors must be USEA members. New for 2014, Beginner Novice Riders:   All Beginner Novice Riders must have a USEA ID number. ID numbers do not require membership and can be created by going to the USEA home page and clicking on Online Services. Click “New User?” to create profile.  Beginner Novice Horses: All horses competing at the Beginner Novice level must be registered with at least a restricted status. There is no cost to register a horse with restricted status, but the owner or rider must have a USEA ID number to register the horse.

Refunds: Full refund for entries withdrawn in writing via email to secretary ([email protected]) or via Fax to 505-466-1249 prior to close date less $25 office fee.  After closing date – Entry less $25 ONLY if place can be filled from wait list.  $25 office fee for each entry change after closing date. . Competition cancellation – Organizer's discretion. 

USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($21), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Negative Coggins drawn within 12 months of Event required for all horses and must be received before close date to avoid $25 incomplete entry fee.  Incomplete entries for any reason are subject to a $25 fee! Late entries accepted on a space available basis.  All late entries are subject to a $50 late fee.

This event uses plastic XC number holders.  If you do not own a plastic XC number holder, please contact the show secretary.

Awards:  1st Place prizes and ribbons 1st through 8th. Team Competition 1st through 3rd.    

  

Stabling/Veterinarian:

VERY LIMITED ON GROUNDS!  FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.  $130/Stall, initial bedding &  stall doors provided / Fri 12:00 through Monday 10am.  Hay and Shavings on grounds.  Other stabling close by.  Email Secretary at [email protected] for list of available stabling in area.  Most options within 15 minutes of show grounds.  Veterinarian:  on site /Thal Equine Hospital 505-438-6550.

 Santa Fe Lots of hotels, all price ranges in Santa Fe; Book early for best rate as Santa Fe is a major tourist destination!  Old Pecos Trail Inn (20 minutes away and pets allowed) 2239 Old Pecos Trail, 505-982-1943. Other Hotels are 30 minutes away:   La Quinta - 505 - 471 - 1142 - pet friendly, Comfort Inn - 866 - 539 - 0036 - pets allowed, Double Tree Inn - 800 - 741 - 5072, Fairfield Inn - 505 - 474 - 7569 - no pets. Dry Camping Available for Self Contained Units Only!  NO Hookups!  $10 per night, reserve with your entry.

P-2014 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm.  T HT & CT–2014 USEF Training Test B-Sm.  N HT & CT–2014 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. BN HT & CT–2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Pre-Comp-2014 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm.

Cross-Country:

Cross-Country:   P–2800m @ 520 mpm. T–2400m @ 420mpm, N–2000m @ 375 mom.  BN–2000m @ 350mpm.  PC - 1800m @ 300 mpm.  Goose Downs Farm is at 6,000 feet elevation and all courses are hilly.  P/T Courses shorter for early season.   All have maximum fences and narrow faces. Other Information:

Cross country course is closed May 4th.
Plastic reusable XC Pinny Holders will be used at this event.  Contact Show Secretary if you do not own a Plastic Pinny Holder

Goose Downs Farm is a fragile high-desert environment. No smoking, except in cars. Please check with secretary concerning motorized vehicles on course. We recycle, please help us. There will be ample water available at Goose Downs after Cross-Country. 
Horses limited to 3 per rider. Levels may be combined or divided if entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. 

Food and drink available on grounds. 

Dogs must be leashed.  Loose dogs caught and held for $50 ransom. 

Team Competition:  Teams of 3 to 4 members, best scores to count; all team members at same level.  Sign up before dressage - $5 per team member.

Competitors’ Welcome Reception – Saturday 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Goose Downs Farm Barn courtyard - everyone invited.
