From Baltimore/Frederick: I-70 to Rt. 97 South; Approx. 8 mi. to right onto Rt. 650/Damascus Rd.,corner parking field, 1 mi. on right.

From VA/Washington, DC Beltway (495): To I?270 N. Exit Shady Grove Rd. east. Continue east on Shady Grove to right on Rt. 124. At fourth light, turn right on Brink Rd. Go 4 mi. to left on Howard Chapel Rd. At stop sign, turn left on Damascus Rd. Entrance immediately on right.

OR Route 15 north of Leesburg, to Rt 340 East to I 70 East to Route 97 south, follow directions above.

OR  Washington, DC Beltway (495) to I?270 N. Take ICC  Rt 200 East(toll road) to Georgia Ave/Route 97 north toward Olney; Continue approx 6 miles north of Olney to the traffic light at Route 650; turn left onto Route 650/Damascus Rd; continue 1.5 mile to entrance on right.

From PA/North:  I-70 west to Rt. 97 south, 8 miles to right onto Rt. 650 Damascus Rd., Farm 1.5 mile on right. 

From SE Maryland:
Washington Beltway to Rt. 650 north, crossover Georgia Ave/Rt. 97, entrance 1 1/4 mi. on right OR Route 97 to Route 32 to Clarksville; follow local directions via GPS.

Fri:
Cross-country course open-3 pm.
Sat: All T and P: Dressage-8 am;  Cross-country-10:00 am. Show jumping-12:00 pm.
Sun: All N and BN  Dressage-8 am; Show jumping-9:30 am; Cross-country-11:30 am.
  
Novice and Training Level 3-Day Event; SPECIFIC DETAILS TO FOLLOW after CLOSING DATE.
Tues/Wed: N and T3D check in; arrival. No arrivals before 2 PM Tuesday nor after dark.
Wed: 9:30 Welcome briefing; ALL riders to attend, First Horse Inspection.  
Thurs: Dressage.
Fri: Cross-country.
Sat: Final Horse Inspection, Show Jumping; mounted awards ceremony.
Stephen Bradley/Lead Clinician; dinners, educational seminars and demonstrations will occur throughout the event.

T3D: $325.00; N3D: $295  plus (optional ) stabling fee--see below:
Stabling fee for 3Day (additional to entry fee and optional): $215.00 for the duration of competition Tuesday through Sunday; this includes one horse stall and a shared tack stall. No bedding provided but shavings - shavings can be pre-ordered ($9/bag).

$50.00 separate check/refundable muck fee required with entry. Stabling fee subject to change due to surcharge fuel costs but not to exceed $225. NO stabling refund after OCTOBER 10 for 3 Day competitors. Limited Day Stabling for those who live close by and do not wish to stable for the duration: $50 per day/per horse.   
 

Entries:

HT, 3D and N3D: Use regular HT Entry Form.  Fees stated above.  Stabling fee for 3Day (additional to entry fee and optional) outlined above.
HT and 3 Day Refunds
: Before C.D.-Entry/Stabling less $25 non-refundable office fee. After C.D.-No refunds entry or stabling. USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($21), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.Competition cancellation- No refund. 
BOUNCED CHECKS SURCHARGE $50; CREDIT CARD ENTRIES ACCEPTED VIA EVENTENTRIES AND XENTRIES.  
Entries will be SCHEDULED when all the paperwork and fees are received.

  • Paper number pineys will be in effect for cross country.  Riders must bring piney holder with them; limited quantities available for purchase from the show office.
  • ANY change to entry must be in writing--email, fax, U.S. mail;   Absolutely NO telephone withdrawals, changes or stabling request  will  be accepted.

  • Riders are responsible for including a printed, legible and current email address on entry-all correspondence from secretary will be via email.
  • SCRATCHES/CHANGES: With any simple change to then entry--change of horse or rider (not both) and/or division allowed--no change fee. ANY change to entry must be in writing either Email ([email protected]) or fax (301) 570-0287. Other changes to entry between Closing Date and Sunday before the event: $30. Changes to entry between the Monday before the competition ad the event conclusion: $50. 
                    
  •   POST ENTRIES: If space allows and post entries accepted, see fee schedule above. All other refunds/scratch/change fees still apply. ANY entry postmarked after the CD will be considered LATE with the late fee included.  Any electronic or faxed entry made prior to DC must be complete within 5 days after CD or will be considered LATE with the late fees applying and will not be schedule until all paperwork and fees collected.                                               

Horse Trials: Area II Adult Riders, please indicate on the entry form.  Separate ribbons will be awarded.

Awards:
HT:  Prizes & 8 ribbons per division. Cash certificate 1st--3rd. Special prizes detailed in program. N and T3D AWARDS DETAILED IN 3D PACKETS; MANY SPONSORED PRIZES!
Stabling/Veterinarian:
All stabling assignments WILL BE EMAILED AND POSTED ON WEBSITE!! NOT EVERYONE WILL BE STABLED ON GROUNDS SO PLEASE BE ATTENTIVE TO THE POSTED LIST ONCE COMPLETED! Shavings can be pre-ordered via [email protected] $50 muck fee (separate check) required for ALL stabling. Stall assignments & directions will be POSTED ON WEBSITE by October 24 for weekend riders.   
HT: $50/stall/night--25 perm. stalls on grounds.  No initial bedding.  N and T3D:  See details above for shavings, muck fee, etc.

Arenas:  All weather permanent rings  

Cross-Country:
HT:  P-2800 m @ 520 mpm. T-2400 m @ 450 mpm. N-2000 m @ 375mpm. BN-1800 m @ 325mpm. All courses: Average, for horses with some experience at these levels.
CLASSIC NOVICE and TRAINING LEVEL 3-DAY: Participants should expect a championship level course to include water, banks, ditches and suitable combinations.  Specific details for A, B, C, and D on website.
Other Information:

Cross-country course closed Sept. 15.
Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry.
Food available on grounds. Dogs must be leashed.
NO motorbikes anywhere on the cross-country course after 8 AM Saturday and Sunday morning.
Cross-country schooling day, Tuesday October 28 weather/footing permitting.
Many extra activities planned for 3-day participants; more details available, including qualifications on USEA Area II website.
