These phases will run concurrently with the other horse trial divisions; Saturday -- dressage and XC, Sunday -- stadium jumping. The X-C is designed to encourage new riders into the sport of eventing and horse trials. The terrain is gently rolling, and most obstacles are logs. Length; 1800 m @300 mpm, max 2' -- no water or ditch crossings.  BN 1800 m @ 325 mpm, max 2'7". N 1800 m @ 350 mpm, max 2'11". T 2000 m @ 420 mpm max 3'3". P 3000m @ 520 mpm, max 3'7". Courses invite good galloping opportunities, but recommend that horses are fit due to the rolling nature of the Palouse and the possible heat of late summer. Prelim course includes banks into and out of the water. There is also a corner jump, and trakehner. Training includes a trakehner jump and banks into and out of the water. Novice, Beginning Novice, and Intro division courses are inviting and straight forward and will build confidence of horses and riders.  Many jumps visible to spectators. Water (with options at lower levels), bank, ditches included at all levels (except Intro). Warm-up is in a 12 acre aerated grass field with XC and stadium warm-up fences. The terrain is not flat, so please plan accordingly.
