Compete in any of the 8 NY Second Career Circuits events honoring the retraining of Second Career Thoroughbreds bred anywhere in the world, in the sport of Evening. The Grand Finale will be held at Millbrook Horse Trials, August 1-4.

From NY State Thruway: Exit 46 Rochester to I-390 south to Exit 8 to right (west) on 20A. Turn right at Main Street Rte. 39 at light. Go thru town, then about 3-4 miles Roots Tavern Rd. is second left (after leaving town) turn left to stabling & dressage. Cross-country is 1 mile west of Roots Tavern location; turn left on Nations Rd.

Early Bird Entries postmarked by June 4th: P/T - $160, N/BN - $145, Intro - $125; may withdraw through June 22 and get entry and stabling refund less $50 office fee.
Entries postmarked after June 4th and before June 25th: P/T - $180, N/BN - $165, Intro - $150
Entries postmarked after June 25th will be accepted if there is room (please check with the secretary for availability and payment requirements before entering.)

Entries:

Please check website (www.geneseevalleyhunt.org) for updates and additional information. If entering with Xentry, signature page, coggins, stall depesot (if applicable) and payment MUST be received within 5 days or entry will be removed from entry list.  Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee.  BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay additional $25 with entry.  Intro does not require USEA/USEF Membership; USEA starter D&M Fees to not apply.  If oversubscribed, priority given to USEA members.  Entry errors that are $25 or less will be considered contributions to the cross country building fund.  $25 fee for any changes after the closing date.  Refunds: Before Closing: Less $25 non-refundable office fee.  “EARLY BIRD ENTRIES” have until June 22 to withdraw and receive a full refund less $25 office fee.  After closing date: entry less $50 ONLY if place filled from waiting list.  Competition Cancellation – No refund. Additional information can be found at www.useventing.com and in the Omnibus. Entry form can be found on Area 1 web site.  Double entries: Not accepted. Multiple entries may be limited Preliminary competitors must include copy of USEF membership for rider; owner and trainer with entry. Divisions may be further divided/combined or cancelled as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section, birth date and if amateur rider on entry form. Copy of current negative Coggins (within 12 months) must accompany entry, or entry considered incomplete. If late entries are accepted, must enter via Xentry and pay with a credit card.   Incomplete entries will be placed on bottom of draw pile. Entry confirmation status will be posted on www.geneseevalleyhunt. 

Competitor Information
Awards:
Prizes & 6 ribbons per division. Career2 NY Second Career Thoroughbred Circuit; All applicable levels win, 1st place $200 plus saddle pad, 2nd place $100 and ribbons for placements 1-6.  See Area I website for Career2 details.
Stabling/Veterinarian:

Limited on site Friday to Sunday only. $100 Friday noon to Sunday night. $50 Saturday night only (if available). 50 perm stalls (approx 10 X10) with doors on grounds – cross-country course approx. 1/2 mile from stabling. Mandatory muck deposit $40, separate check to GVH to accompany entry. Stall doors & initial bedding only provided. Feed/hay/bedding available for purchase, further info from sec´y. Alternate stabling or for early arrivals prior to Friday, late departures after Sunday - Off-grounds only, contact Secretary at (585) 739-7324Veterinarian: Genesee Valley Equine Clinic (585) 889-1170. Stabling form must accompany entry.

Test & arena sizes: P-2010 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm. T-2010 USEF Training Test A-Sm. N-2010 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Intro - 2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test A-Sm. Arenas: 2 sand & 1 grass, if entries warrant. Warm up grass.
Cross-Country:

P-2800 m @ 520 mpm. T-2370 m @ 420 mpm. N-1950 m @ 350 mpm. BN-1600 m @ 350 mpm/max. height 2´7’. Intro - 1200m @ 300 mpm/max height 2'2.  Terrain: Open, rolling, banks, water (all levels). Improved footing & jumps. All courses: Average for horses experienced at these levels. 

Other Information:

Elimination Policy – absolutely no ride upon elimination. Cross-country course closed May 28, 2013 (Cross-country course schooling Monday, May 27 2 – 5pm.  Call Marion Thorne 585-451-8143.) Great spectator opportunities. Be a patron, sponsor a division or fence; enjoy the patron tent.
