SmartPak Returns as the Official Supplement Feeding System of the USEA

The United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) is delighted to announce the renewed partnership with SmartPak as the “Official Feeding Supplement of the USEA” for 2023. SmartPak will also continue their support of various USEA programs as a “Gold Sponsor of the USEA American Eventing Championships,” “Contributing Sponsor of the Adult Team Championships at the AEC,” “Bronze Sponsor of the Classic Series” and “Contributing Sponsor of the Young Event Horse Series.” The “SmartPak USEA Stallion of the Year” and “SmartPak USEA Pony of the Year” leaderboards will also allow the company to assist in recognizing the top placing stallion and pony of the Association at the USEA Annual Meeting and Convention in St. Louis, Missouri this December 6-10. SmartPak will provide ample prizes and awards for the programs and championships that they support.

The Next Generation is Named at the 2021 USEA FEH Central Championships

A new set of champions were crowned today at the 2021 USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) Central Championships at Haras Hacienda in Magnolia, Texas. Judged by Lori Hoos and Katie Rocco, the Central Championships saw a total of 21 horses ranging from yearlings to 4-year-olds. “Today was a wonderful day. The venue at Haras [Hacienda] is so elegant, and it’s a pleasure to be here. The horses were well-mannered, and well presented,” said Hoos. Rocco added, “I agree that this was a phenomenal experience, and what a fabulous place to host this, it was wonderful. There is true sincerity of people caring about this program here.”

The Race to Lion: MBF Cooley Permission To Land is the 2021 Recipient of the Holekamp/Turner Grant and The Dutta Corp. Prize

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce that Cole Horn’s MBF Permission To Land is the 2021 recipient of the Holekamp/Turner Grant and The Dutta Corp. prize! MBF Cooley Permission To Land (Cobra x Deeply Dippy K) is a 7-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding ridden and owned by Cole Horn and bred by Knightfield Stud. The pair will represent the U.S. at the 2021 FEI Eventing World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in the 7-year-old CCIYH3*-L Championship. The Championship will take place at Mondial du Lion in Le Lion d’Angers, France on October 21-24, 2021.

Wise Heraldik Breaker and Wise Totilas Simparita Rise to the Top at USEA FEH East Coast Championships

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) East Coast Championships concluded Sunday, October 26 with a spectacular showing by the 2-year-olds and yearlings at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Maryland. Seven fillies and eight colts were presented to judges Robin Walker and Lori Hoos in the FEH 2-Year-Old Championship, while the FEH Yearling Championship was composed of seven fillies and three colts. Both divisions were divided into fillies and colts sections for placing, in addition to overall division champion.

Wise Ravissant Du Defey and Miss Roxy Awarded Top Honors on Day One of USEA FEH East Coast Championships

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The first of the USEA Future Event Horse (FEH) East Coast Champions were crowned today at the FEH East Coast Championships held at Loch Moy Farm in Adamstown, Maryland. Eight colts and fillies were presented to judges Robin Walker and Lori Hoos in the FEH 4-year-old Championship, while the 3-year-old division was split into two sections: a FEH 4-year-old Colt Championship consisting of eight colts, and a FEH 4-year-old Filly Championship consisting of ten fillies.

The 2021 AEC Concludes with Crowning of Beginner Novice Champions

The final competitors of the 2021 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds geared up for the last day. Taking place in the Kentucky Horse Park’s iconic Rolex Stadium, riders from all six Beginner Novice divisions put their best foot forward in the show jumping phase. Endless prizes were handed out, the champions were decorated with tri-color ribbons, the Adult Team Champions were named, and several special awards were distributed throughout the day.

Beginner Novice Closes Out The Cross-Country Competition

It was a full day of Beginner Novice cross-country as 286 horses and riders in six divisions left the start box on the Derek di Grazia-designed course to take on their second phase of the 2021 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds. The Beginner Novice horses followed the hoofprints of the five-star horses as they galloped through the Head of the Lake and took on the complexes that make the Kentucky Horse Park courses unlike any others.

On Cue Was On Point to Win the $60,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Final 

Boyd Martin came to the 2021 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds looking to defend his 2019 $60,000 Adequan USEA Advanced Final title and while he succeeded at the goal it wasn’t with the same mount. However, Martin’s victory lands him in the history books as the first rider to win the AEC Advanced class two times on two different horses.
