United States Eventing Association

The United States Eventing Association’s (USEA) Area V of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas kicked off its 2023 season of USEA-recognized horse trials with the Texas Rose Horse Park H.T. in Tyler, Texas, on March 24-26. Several area riders returned home after spending the winter in other eventing hubs. These riders are making an impact on the national stage and showcasing the dedication Area V has to the sport of eventing, as well as the camaraderie among its riders.

Join Mary D'Arcy at Pine Hill in Bellville, Texas for a two-day clinic on November 21-22, 2020. Mary D'Arcy-O'Connell is a coach/trainer producing horses and riders for dressage, jumping, and eventing from Beginner Novice to the highest levels of international competition.

The Pine Hill Horse Trials run twice yearly in Belleville, Texas (Area V) offering Starter through Preliminary levels. Pine Hill is a boarding and training facility that offers eventing, dressage, hunter/jumper, Pony Club, and driving competitions and is available for schooling and clinics.

Ruth Sawin’s Pine Hill eventing facility is mastering the art of successful engineering of a small 120-entry horse trials, no less than seven times a year.

Philip (Phil) Garrett Sawin (68) resident of Bellville, Texas since 1978 passed away March 18 from a ladder accident at his horse training facility, Pine Hill Farm, where he lived and worked.
