US Equestrian is pleased to announce two additional competitions approved by the USEF Board of Directors to host CCI4*-S, CCI3*-L, and Advanced level events during the 2023-2027 competition cycle under the new Eventing Calendar Process. The Florida Horse Park has been allocated the CCI4*-S, CCI3*-L, and Advanced levels on Week 16 and the Advanced level on Week 40.

"The Ocala Horse Properties Florida International 3-Day Event was a tremendous success,” says organizer Peter Gray of Equiventures, LLC, the producer of the event held at the Florida Horse Park the weekend of April 15 through 18. “We’d like to extend a grateful thanks to our many sponsors and donors who supported the show."

Thirty-four riders were entered in the competitive CCI2* division at the Florida International last weekend in Ocala, Florida, but when the dust settled on Sunday afternoon it was Tiffani Loudon-Meetze riding Kim Lampert’s Lo Fino who took home top honors.

On March 9^th, the Spalding Labs/USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) competition for four- and five-year-olds was hosted at the Florida Horse Park (FHP) in Ocala. Like other early season competitions, the number of entries was small, however the quality of horses was quite impressive. Cheryl and Tim Holekamp are to be complimented for their very professional organizational effort. The outstanding venue and smooth running competition made for a wonderful learning opportunity for the young horses.

Just to add to add to what is already a poor financial situation at the Florida Horse Park, the facilities were burglarized earlier this month. In a hard blow to the park, the thieves stole over $40,000 of equipment. As you can imagine, it has seriously impacted how the park are able to maintain facilities on a daily basis as well as prepare for shows.
