COVID-19 Forces Cancellation of 2020 MARS Equestrian Bromont CCI Three-Day Event
Bromont Horse Trials Inc, organizers of the MARS Equestrian Bromont CCI Three-Day Event scheduled for June 3 to 7 have announced the cancellation of this event for 2020. Little Bromont planned for June 13, the following weekend at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park, is also not expected to run.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has made it impossible to organize an event on these early June dates. The Canadian-US border is closed to most traffic and equestrian competitions have stopped. Out of an abundance of caution there will be no new dates for the June competitions.
When asked about the announcement, Bromont Organizing Committee Member Peter Gray said, "It is my hope that when our North American Eventing circuit resumes, the Bromont CCIO4* Nations Cup competition will also become an extra special weekend for everybody. While the emphasis will be on Senior and Junior Team Championships, we also hope to make our August competition a very unique and memorable weekend to celebrate the return to sport!"
The Bromont CCI-S Three Day Event held August 13 to 16 held in conjunction with the very exciting and recently announced leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ at Bromont are going ahead as planned. The postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games until next year places even more emphasis on Nations Cups in the International calendar.
The popular MARS Bromont Rising program which provides financial grants plus both mounted and unmounted instruction to up and coming under-25 riders will be moved to happen in conjunction with the August event which is set to run the following levels: CCIO4*-NC-S, CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S, CCIU252*-S, CCIU253*-S, OP, OT, CCI4*-S.
A very popular event with both local and international riders, Bromont attracts Olympians and competitors from across North America. Three decades of eventing have made Bromont a destination for riders, owners, and families. A place where everyone can enjoy a friendly weekend of competition and the charming rural eastern townships of Quebec.

The 2024 K3DE Daily: Dressage Day 1
Let the fun and games begin! This morning kicks off the official start of competition at the 2024 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event (K3DE). The hefty four-star field is the first to set foot in the Rolex Stadium starting at 8:00 a.m. Last year we saw 49 four-star pairs in this division, but this year there are 63 pairs in the field.

The 2024 K3DE Daily: First Horse Inspection
Lights, cameras, action! The first formal horse inspection (which some might informally refer to as "the jog") at the 2024 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event (K3DE) takes place this afternoon at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. While this part of the event is a fan-favorite historically based on the impeccable turnout of the horses and the stylish and forward fashion choices of the riders (we are looking at you Boyd Martin in hopes that you bring back the American flag suit circa 2022), it serves a very important purpose: ensuring that each horse is fit, sound, and ready to compete at the five-star level.
