Support the USEA Instructors’ Certification Program by Hosting an ICP Workshop!

Before Instructors’ Certification Program (ICP) candidates may be assessed for certification at an Assessment, they must participate in the appropriate ICP Workshop(s). ICP Workshop hosts are wonderful people who offer up their farms and volunteer their organizational skills to make these required ICP Workshops available to candidates, and the ICP is grateful for hosts’ commitment to high-quality instruction and to the many participating ICP candidates.

Addition of Two New Certificates to the USEA Instructors’ Certification Program

Starting in 2017, ICP will offer two new certificates, the ICP Young Event Horse Instructor certificate and the ICP Young Event Horse Professional Trainer certificate. Young Event Horses are 4- and 5-year olds. ICP will of course continue to offer its ICP Level I-Novice through Level IV Instructor certificates.

Thinking Like a Horse with Aaron Vale at the 2014 ICP Ocala Symposium

Audience members, as well as the riders, listened very closely as Aaron Vale taught 19 rider and horse pairs in the new Grand Prix show jump arena at Longwood. His focus on those riders and their horses was consummate. The exercises he chose and the directive, corrective, and complimentary words he expressed moment-by-moment said it all.
