Over 200 competitors came to Morven Park International Equestrian Center for this year’s Spring Horse Trials and a successful 2021 eventing season kick-off.

The Morven Park Fall Horse Trials Organizing Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation regret to announce the death of Sparrow’s Nio (Grange Finn Sparrow x JB), a 17-year-old Connemara/Thoroughbred gelding, owned and ridden by Alexandra Sacksen.

The FEI levels originally scheduled at the Morven Park Fall Horse Trials from October 2-4, 2020 have been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. This would have been the first time a CCI4*-L was offered at Morven Park. Park staff were anticipating a record number of competitors, volunteers, and officials to attend from around the United States and other countries. Additionally, inaugural CCI2*YH-S and CCI3*YH-S levels had been planned to showcase up-and-coming horses.

Morven Park is deeply saddened to announce that a rider fatality occurred during cross-country schooling on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.

More than 230 riders competed in the Morven Park Spring International Horse Trials, held April 1st and 2nd at the Morven Park International Equestrian Center in Leesburg, Va.

The Morven Park Horse Trials on October 5-7 is currently oversubscribed and cannot accept additional entries at this time.

The Board of Trustees of the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation, Inc. announced today that long-standing Morven Park Executive Director, William F. O’Keefe, will be retiring on December 31, 2009. The Board oversees the operations of Morven Park and its associated services and programs.
