The US Equestrian Federation is accepting bid applications to host the 2021 and 2022 North American Youth Championships (NAYC) for Eventing. US Equestrian must receive completed bids on or before Friday, March 27, 2020, by 5:00 p.m. EDT for consideration.
Today I completed my first Novice horse trials. It was a whirlwind, one-day show, and I’m exhausted and probably more than a little dehydrated. But I’m also on cloud nine. The riders who received grants from the Mars Bromont Rising U25 Program lost no time in putting what they had learned to good use at the Ocala Jockey Club International Three-Day Event, held November 13-17, 2019 in Ocala, Florida.
The new Mars Bromont Rising U25 Program will now be administered by the USEA Foundation. The program was first introduced at Bromont Three-day Event last June when nine riders under the age of 25 were awarded grants of $3,000 Canadian to assist with the expenses incurred in preparing for and competing in the Bromont CCI.
The USEA Foundation is now accepting applications for the Essex Horse Trials Grant, the Seema Sonnad Junior Rider's Grant, and the Haller Scholarship for Eventing Officials. The deadline for applications for these grants is October 15.
The deadline for the 2020 Worth the Trust Educational and Sports Psychology Scholarships applications is October 5, 2019. Applicants should submit an essay explaining why the scholarship is important to him or her, how they intend to use the funds, and their riding and competing experiences.
US Equestrian is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 Land Rover/USEF Competition Grants for the remainder of the 2019 season.
The CCIY3*-S was a small division, but the excitement was still large in the team competition. Area I/II dominated after both dressage and cross-country and had a nice lead heading into today’s show jumping finale, but when team member Megan Loughnane had to withdraw her horse Linford before the second horse inspection this morning, it dropped the team all the way down to bronze medal position. Area IV/VIII were now in the lead with Area III/VII hot on their heels.
