The Event at Rebecca Farm (Kalispell, Montana) is renowned amongst members of the eventing community for its exceptional competition venue, genuine hospitality, and stunning backdrops. The Broussard Family Charitable Foundation and USEA Foundation are excited to share that travel grants to this iconic venue are returning once again for 2024 to assist riders traveling to Montana to compete in the CCI3* and CCI4* divisions at this year’s competition which takes place July 17-21.

Did you know that the United States has more frangible fences than any other country? Frangible technology has been around for nearly 100 years with the British Pin taking the honors as the first formal frangible device. The study of frangible fences has continued in the last decade, including the USEA Collapsible Fence Technology Study which was conducted through the University of Kentucky from 2016-2018.

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced the host location and dates for the 2024 and 2025 USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships (CCI1*, CCI2*-S, CCI3*-S). The Maryland International and Horse Trials will host the Championships in Adamstown, Maryland, on July 5-7, 2024, and July 6-8, 2025.

Molly Duda picked up eventing just five years ago, and when she did, she never would have expected to have the 2023 she had.

It was a full day of show jumping at The Eventing Championships at Galway Downs, and by the end, three individual champions and two teams were crowned in the The U.S. Equestrian Federation Eventing Young Rider Championships presented by USEA.

The U.S. Equestrian Federation Eventing Young Rider Championships presented by USEA continued at Galway Downs today with a full day of cross-country.

While there are only three individuals competing in the CCI3*-L championship, it’s a very talented group. Molly Duda and her own 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Donatelli x Cadence) maintained their lead after a double-clear cross-country round ahead of Elsa Warble and FE Unlimited and Kayla Dumler and Farmir.

Young riders from the U.S. and Canada headed to Galway Downs this week for the 2023 U.S. Equestrian Federation Eventing Young Rider Championships presented by USEA. Riders from several Areas and Canada are competing for team and individual championships at the CCI1*-L and CCI2*-L levels, and there are three individual riders in the CCI3*-L.

The USEA Foundation is now accepting applications for the Richard Picken Memorial Grants through October 15th. Established in memory of the late Richard Picken by his loved ones, the Richard Picken Memorial Grants from the Fund of the same name are established to fund the intensive training of riders aged 25 years and younger competing at the FEI CCI2* level or higher.

The USEA Foundation is now accepting applications for the Broussard Charitable Foundation Trust Going Forward Grants through Sept. 15. Established in 2020 amidst the pandemic, the Broussard Charitable Foundation Trust took notice of the challenges and obstacles in the sport of eventing. Rather than focus on the negatives, the team behind the trust saw the opportunities for individual reflection, assessment, and evaluation. From this progressive thinking came the evolution of the Going Forward USEA Members Grant. This educational opportunity provided the possibility to transforming members’ lives, careers, and horsemanship, along with enriching the sport of eventing.

The USEA Foundation is now accepting applications for the Kim Meier “Kick On” Memorial Grant through October 15th. This grant, established in honor of Meier who made it to the highest level of the sport through her own grit and determination, is intended to assist those riders who are struggling to financially compete their own horses at the upper levels and who have passed beyond the funding available for juniors and young adults. This fund was established and funded through the generosity of Kim’s friends.
