The 2009 Adequan FEI North American Junior & Young Riders Championships (NAJYRC) presented by Gotham North kicked off on Wednesday 22 July at the Kentucky Horse Park. Despite the fact that rain showers, and eventually a downpour, plagued the first day of competition, some stunning rides in the USDF/Platinum Performance NAJYRC Dressage Championships Team Test and the first medal ceremony of the championships brightened the day for riders and spectators alike. USA REGIONS 7 TAKES HOME THE FIRST GOLD

The 2009 Adequan FEI North American Junior & Young Riders Championships is right around the corner and the teams have been officially selected. NAJYRC will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park from July 21-26. Here’s your chance to work and train with Gina Miles or Boyd Martin for two weeks!About The Youth Board Advancement Grant:The USEA Youth Board will be awarding Youth Board Advancement Grants at the end of the summer to two deserving Junior/Young Riders. These grants will provide an opportunity for each selected rider to spend two weeks working and training at a high performance barn.

Penny and Brian Ross of The Virginia Horse Trials in Lexington, Virginia are proud to announce the their inaugural Junior/Young Rider Team Challenge (JYTC) for Eventing at the spring competition scheduled to run on May 21-24, 2009. We are inviting any group of juniors and young riders to put together a team of four riders to compete at any level that we are offering which is Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, Preliminary and Intermediate.

Lexington, KY – The countdown to the 2009 Adequan FEI North American Junior/Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) has begun in earnest. For the first time, the NAJYRC will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY – which in 2010 will play host to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. This year's NAJYRC will be held July 21-26, 2009.
