We are officially on the road to KY! This week was our Young Rider “training camp”. We had lessons with Mike Huber all week and grooms came in later to get to know the horses and our programs. Our area is so large that some of the grooms and riders live over 10 hours from each other.

The purpose of the Young Rider Program, offered through the USEA, is to encourage our Young Riders’ to be “involved in the sport of Eventing and perhaps continue this involvement into their adult lives.” Accommodating riders of all levels, the organization seeks to “create a love of the sport, an appreciation and understand of the horse as well as responsibility.” In addition, we hope to “generate involvement early on, helping lower level riders to realize their goals and eventually achieve success at the higher levels through dedication, hard work and discipline.”
