History repeats itself for Auburn and Clemson Universities who have been familiar with sitting in the top spots at the USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship. A sea of orange filled the Virginia Horse Trials on Saturday, May 26 while the Auburn Orange Team threw down four strong performances to sit comfortably in first place on a team score of 89.05. Taking the early team lead were Auburn Orange team members Sallie Johnson, Aubrey Wagner, Lydia Kennedy, and Meredith Kramer.

Fourteen hours is the amount of time Jordan Vann spent in the car to travel to her first out-of-state show. Accompanying Vann in the trek up the coast from Gainesville, Fla. to Lexington, Va. was team captain Edward Britten-Kelly and coach Ashley Johnson (teammate Kelly Clark would meet the team at the venue as she had already moved home to Pennsylvania for the summer). These four Gators made the trip to Virginia Horse Trials to represent University of Florida in their USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship debut.

Defending champions Clemson University kicked off the 2018 USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship with a bang. Sarah Pyne, known as the perfectionist among her team members, was the only rider from Clemson competing on the first day of the Intercollegiate Championship at the Virginia Horse Trials (VHT) in Lexington, Virginia. Competition at VHT began today with the Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advanced/Intermediate horse trials divisions as well as the CCI* and CIC2*.

The third annual USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship at the Virginia Horse Trials (VHT) in Lexington, Virginia kicks off bright and early tomorrow morning with riders competing at nearly every level offered this weekend, from Beginner Novice all the way up through Intermediate and the CCI*/CIC2*.

The Texas A&M Eventing Team is fired up to bring the spirit of Aggieland to the Third Annual Intercollegiate Championship. Founded in 2016, the team is a young addition to A&M; however, the team has grown significantly in the past two years with 33 active members. Last year, the team was ecstatic about winning the 2017 Spirit Award and having one of their two teams finish fifth.
