Morven Park is thrilled to host over 250 riders for its annual Spring Horse Trials. The weekend features an equestrian discipline known as “eventing,” in which each horse and rider combination must compete in dressage, show jumping, and cross-country. Competition begins on Saturday, March 31 and continues through Sunday, April 1 and is free for spectators.

At 7:50 pm last night the Loudoun County Fire department was called out to Morven Park Equestrian Center in Leesburg, VA for a large barn fire. The structure which burned was the "D" Barn which is used only for shows and was empty at the time so no animals or humans were injured. The barn is completely destroyed and the cause of the fire is still being investigated. WUSA9 has a video report of the fire on their website.

Lauren Kieffer riding Radio Flyer II took home the blue ribbon in the Advanced Division B at the Morven Horse Trials in Leesburg, VA. Kieffer put in the fastest round of the day – adding only .80 time penalties to her score after stadium.

O’Keefe, will be retiring on December 31, 2009. The Board oversees the operations of Morven Park and its associated services and programs.
