Bramham

After being a visitor for as long as she can remember tagging along with her mum Mary, Emily King realised a dream earlier today as she became the 2018 Bramham CCI3* U25 champion. Riding Jane Del Missier’s Dargun, King rode an expertly crafted clear round over Di Boddy’s technical and up to height track to add no further penalties to the 25.5 she posted for her dressage on Friday.

In the British Horse Feeds u25 CCI3* at Bramham Horse Trials, Emily King retained her advantage with Jane Del Missier’s Dargun with a speedy and impressive round which was well judged to finish five seconds inside the time, adding nothing to her dressage score of 25.5.  It wasn’t to be for American visitor Caroline Martin as she picked up 20 penalites with her first ride, Danger Mouse, at the Womble Bond Dickinson Pond which relegated her down the order from her second spot and on ride two, The Apprentice, she was judged to have jumped outside the flag at part c of the same fence

British duo Katie Bleloch and Bulano are now third on 26.9 with the final rider of the day, Sam Ecroyd, going fourth with his second horse, Cooley Currency. Martin also completes the top five with her second horse, The Apprentice on 28.2.
