Lexington, VA — Virginia Horse Trials is pleased to be named the host venue for the 2018 USEF One-Star Eventing National Championships which will take place during the Virginia CCI/CIC and Horse Trials November 1-4, 2018 at the Virginia Horse Center.

Last year David Taylor, of Keymar, Maryland, realized he wanted to be more than just a competitive eventer. He wanted to give back to the sport but at the time he wasn’t sure how. It wasn't until he read an article on the United States Eventing Association (USEA) website about becoming a cross-country course designer that it finally clicked.

Virginia Horse Trials (VHT) is pleased to add an Intercollegiate Team Challenge to the October 26-29, 2017 CCI, CIC and Horse Trials at the request of student riders. The October event is also host of the Area II Championships and an Adult Team Challenge.The VHT Intercollegiate Team Challenge is open to all collegiate riders from Beginner Novice through CCI2*. Any student enrolled in a college or university part- or full-time may participate.

The Virginia Horse Trials (VHT) organizing team is determined to have their best year yet at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia. After record entries of over 500 horses at the May CCI/CIC and Horse Trials, the staff looks forward to another successful competition during the Virginia CCI/CIC and Horse Trials on October 26-29, 2017.

In an effort to encourage the future development of our sport, Virginia Horse Trials (VHT) is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for someone starting their pursuit of becoming a Course Designer.Virginia Horse Trials runs two high caliber Events each year which offer divisions for Beginner Novice through Intermediate levels, as well as CCI1* and CCI2* FEI competitions. These Events run over two separate cross-country courses.

The Fall Virginia Horse Trials has an activity for every competitor this year. Some of the featured events are: The Chronicle of the Horse/USEA Eastern Adult Team Challenge, Area II Preliminary Championships, A College Team Challenge,Show Jumping Test, and  Future Event Horse Championships.College Team Challenge

Penny and Brian Ross of The Virginia Horse Trials in Lexington, Virginia are proud to announce the their inaugural Junior/Young Rider Team Challenge (JYTC) for Eventing at the spring competition scheduled to run on May 21-24, 2009. We are inviting any group of juniors and young riders to put together a team of four riders to compete at any level that we are offering which is Beginner Novice, Novice, Training, Preliminary and Intermediate.
