The USEA Virtual Event College was in session last weekend at the at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado. Throughout the week, professionals from all areas of the eventing world shared exclusive lessons on all manner of topics from cross-country course preparation, dressage judging, organizer responsibilities, travel, and tips and tricks for keeping your equine partner happy and healthy.

The 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds has been a roaring success, and none of it would have been possible without the support of the many loyal sponsors. Thanks to their generous support, the USEA was able to provide AEC competitors with over $100,000 in prize money and hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and in-kind donations. Whether an AEC competitor placed sixth or won their division, they walked away with prize money and a plethora of prizes donated by the wonderful sponsors.

The final day of competition at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) saw 10 new AEC Champions take their victory lap around the arena. In addition to the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced and Open Intermediate divisions, which concluded earlier in the morning, four Novice divisions and four Beginner Novice divisions took their turn around Marc Donovan’s show jumping courses, fighting for the right to carry home the title of National Champion.Novice Amateur

Other than a mid-afternoon one-hour delay for a thunderstorm that looked to be headed straight for The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado, Novice and Beginner Novice cross-country at the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds went off without a hitch. Three of the four Novice dressage leaders held onto the top stop after the second day of competition, while all but one of the Beginner Novice frontrunners following dressage managed to stay at the top of the leaderboard.Novice Rider

After competition in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at the The Colorado Horse Park was cut short yesterday due to severe storms that swept through the area, the organizers did some creative shuffling to rearrage the schedule and accomodate the divisions that weren't able to complete yesterday. Preliminary cross-country led off this morning on Tremaine Cooper's at 8:00 a.m.

A full day of cross-country was scheduled for Training, Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advanced at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado for the second day of competition in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds, but the weather had other ideas and lightning and thunder cut the day short. Only Training and three of the four Preliminary divisions had their chance to leave the start box on Tremaine Cooper’s cross-country course.

Just four of the eight Novice and Beginner Novice divisions scheduled to perform their dressage tests today in the 2018 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena® Feeds at the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado were completed before a lightning storm swept through the area, prompting the suspension of competition at 2:00 p.m. for the remainder of the day.
