A new USEA Youth Council has been formed to represent the youth in the sport of Eventing. The USEA Youth Council will be the voice of the upcoming generations of Eventers as they work to increase the participation in the sport.

The current goals of this Council are as follows:

  • To provide a source of advice for young riders new to Eventing
  • To act as a resource for the Area Young Rider Coordinators
  • To improve extracurricular and educational opportunities for younger riders at Events

The Council will be completely made up of younger riders who will work together to accomplish the goals set forth by the founding members. The current Council members include Jenny Caras, Jacob Fletcher, Caroline Martin and Lizzie Snow. Additional spots are available and any interested USEA members should contact Lizzie Snow at [email protected].

The USEA Youth Council will be hosting a Meet and Greet at the USEA Annual Meeting and Convention on Friday, December 4th from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Hampton Room. Anyone is encouraged to come by to learn about the Council and meet the members.

The USEA encourages involvement in all aspects of the sport by riders of all ages, and the USEA Youth Council will provide the perfect spring board for the younger generation to increase its involvement in Eventing.

For any questions about the USEA Youth Council or to get involved contact Lizzie Snow at [email protected].
