Curious what studs you should be using this weekend at the Nutrena USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover (AEC)? Super groom Max Corcoran, who is fresh of her trip to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, gives us the scoop on what to consider when studding.

For this weekend, Max suggests a small grass tip on the outside (third from the left) with a road stud for the inside (Farthest left), and a larger grass tip on the outside (Second from the left) of the hind shoes and another road on the inside (Either two on the right). Examples are pictured above.

The studs used in Max’s demonstration come straight from our friends at VTO Saddlery! They have a huge variety to suit any type of footing you may come across. Stop in and say hi to owners Paul and Beth, and happy shopping!
