So far this morning, Texas competitors have been dominating in the Training divisions which show jumped to crown the 2014 champions.

Heather Morris, of Lewisville, Texas didn’t have to travel far to win a Champion title in the Training Horse division. She rode Elizabeth Radar’s Russell to a win after adding nothing to their dressage score of 30.0. Beau Guimond had been leading the division until the show jumping, where he and Filibuster ST dropped an unlucky rail. They finished second.

Brittany Vinson, of Fort Worth, Texas, and her own Falcon Dusty Tiger won the Senior Training Amateur division on a 30.0 after double clear cross-country and show jumping rounds.

In the Junior Training division, Emerson Gotcher, of Midland, Texas, and Kurious jumped from third after cross-country to first place with a double-clear show jumping round.

Preliminary and Intermediate show jump this afternoon while Novice and Beginner Novice ride cross-country. The 2014 Adequan USEA Gold Cup Advanced Champion will be crowned at 5:30 p.m.

Be sure and join us for a Competitor’s Dinner and Gold Cup Awards Presentation in the Trade Fair at 6:00 p.m.
