Intercollegiate Team Challenge Coming to Tryon Riding & Hunt Club H.T.

USEA Archive Photo.

The Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Horse Trials is excited to host their first intercollegiate team challenge during the fall event on October 21-22, 2017. The event takes place at the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center in Landrum, S.C. in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Teams should consist of three or four riders riding at any level. Coefficients will be applied to each individual score to account for level of difficulty. The best three scores will be added together to determine a team score and the lowest summed score will be the winner. Special prizes will be awarded to all members of the winning collegiate team.

All participating collegiate teams will be stabled together, and there will be a stall decorating contest. Students are invited to bring flags, banners, and more to decorate their stable area with their school colors.

Questions, requests or ideas for the collegiate team challenge? Contact organizer Molly Bull. Visit the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Omnibus page here.

The TR&HC HT is in need of volunteers! If you or a friend or parent can donate a few hours of their time to help out at the event, it would be greatly appreciated. For more information and to sign up, please contact Terry Lynch.
