Hollywood (1992 - 2018)

Hollywood, the 16.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding by Mighty Adversary and out of Reckless Knight, passed away on January 30, 2018 at the age of 26.

Hollywood was owned and competed by Kelly Sult-Ransom of Warren, Pennsylvania. The pair competed in their first USEA recognized event together at the Lost Hounds Pony Club Horse Trials in June of 2001 at the Novice level and moved up the levels together, earning accolades including team silver and individual 6th place at the 2007 North American Junior/Young Rider Championships CCI2* and 8th place at the 2007 Fair Hill International CCI3* along the way. In 2008, the pair contested the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI4* for the first time, placing 14th overall and earning Sult-Ransom the title of highest placed young rider.

Hollywood and Sult-Ransom completed Rolex three more times in 2009, 2010, and 2011, and at the age of 19 Hollywood retired from international competition. He lived out the remainder of his days with Sult-Ransom in happy retirement in Pennsylvania.

The USEA sends its heartfelt condolences to Sult-Ransom and all of Hollywood's connections and fans.
