Entries open today for the 2017 United States Eventing Association (USEA) American Eventing Championships (AEC), presented by Nutrena. The AEC will return to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) in Mill Spring, North Carolina for the second year in a row over Labor Day weekend on August 30-September 3. Last year’s AEC drew a record 665 starters, and this year’s competition is expected to surpass that number. The AEC offers championship divisions from Beginner Novice through Advanced, Adult Team Championships (ATC) and the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Final.

Horses and riders must be registered members of the USEA at the time of gaining qualifications. Horses and riders, not necessarily as a combination, must be qualified for the level in accordance with Appendix 3 of the USEF Rules for Eventing and achieve the qualifying result(s) at the level to be entered. The qualification period for Beginner Novice through Intermediate is May 30, 2016 – August 21, 2017. For more information, please check the Qualification Criteria Summary or call the office at 703-779-0440 at extension 3005 - Sharon Gallagher.
