Ballinakill Glory Retires from Upper-Level Competition

Authored By: Frankie Thieriot

imageAfter a remarkable career, the lovely mare Ballinakill Glory, “Pippa” will retire from upper-level competition. Long time rider of Ballinakill Glory Kelly Prather, along with owners James and Andrea Pfeiffer, came to the decision together and feel it is in the best interest of their horse. Pippa will continue her career breezing around the lower levels with the Pfeiffer’s daughter Tayler.

From the time Kelly Prather found the talented Irish Sport Horse as a 3 year old in Ireland, Ballinakill Glory showed great promise and did not disappoint on the high hopes her rider and owners had for her. With career highlights that include finishing 16th at the World Cup Finals in Poland in 2009, winning 2 World Cup CIC3 * events, the Inaugural CCI2* at Fair Hill, several Advanced horse trials, and most recently completing the Rolex Kentucky CCI4*, Pippa proved she was up to any challenge.

"We have had such a fun journey from purchasing Pippa in a field in Ireland to seeing her become an International 4 * Event Horse, and look forward to watching her enjoy the lower levels with our daughter Tayler. None of this could have ever happened with out an amazing crew of people including Dougie Hannum, Grant Showalter, and Corky Panarissi who kept her sound and happy, as well as our Vet Mike O'Connor, and of course her main ride Kelly Prather.” – James and Andrea Pfeiffer
