Hometown Victory for Team USA in the FEI Nations Cup™ at Great Meadow International

For the second year in a row the U.S. team has won the only FEI Nations Cup™ eventing competition held outside of Europe. Following the first phase of competition, the U.S. sat with only a 1.1 point lead over Canada, but with some trouble for the Canadians in show jumping the team from Great Britain moved into second and the U.S. extended its lead by 12.5 points.

Déjà Vu All Over Again for Jennie Brannigan and Cambalda at Great Meadow International CICO3*

The time proved to be quite influential on the cross-country course today at the Great Meadow International CICO3*, Presented by Adequan®. United States team rider Jennie Brannigan and Nina Gardner’s Cambalda (Balda Beau x Cathy’s Lady) ultimately rose to the top of the leaderboard, adding only 1.6 time faults to their dressage score to take the win.

Dutton and I’m Sew Ready Steal the Lead in Great Meadow International CICO3*

Phillip Dutton and Kristine Norton’s 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding I’m Sew Ready (Lupicor x Jarda) scored an even 42 with the last ride of the day to slide into the lead individually and propel the U.S. team to the top of the FEI Nations Cup™ leaderboard following the completion of dressage this morning at the Great Meadow International CICO3*, Presented by Adequan®.

All Horses Accepted After Great Meadow International CICO3* First Horse Inspection

All 32 horse-and-rider combinations were accepted this morning at the 2017 Great Meadow International, Presented by Adequan® first horse inspection, including the four pairs representing the United States in the FEI Nations Cup™ this weekend.

Teams from the United States, Canada, and Great Britain will compete this weekend in the only leg of the FEI Nations Cup™ held on North American soil.
