The 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Land Rover and Nutrena ® concluded today with the Beginner Novice and Boehringer Ingelheim Open Intermediate divisions riding over Chris Barnard’s show jumping courses in the George Morris Arena at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. The 2017 edition of the AEC will go down in the history books as the largest event in U.S. history – 755 horses left their hoofprints on the facility and will forever be AEC competitors.

Marilyn Little and RF Scandalous produced a double clear round to keep a tight hold on their lead heading into the final phase of cross-country tomorrow in the Adequan® USEA Advanced Gold Cup division in front of an enthusiastic crowd in the George Morris Arena at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. The pair made easy work of the track underneath the lights to remain on their score of 27.8 heading into the final phase of cross-country tomorrow, which will be a testing track.

Beginner Novice took center stage on the cross-country course with over 200 competitors tackling Capt. Mark Phillips’ course at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. on day four of the 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover and Nutrena ®. Six more champions were crowned today at the 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships Presented by Land Rover and Nutrena at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C. As each of the riders cantered into the George Morris Arena the pressure was definitely on as they looked for the best chance to top their respective division, take home a slew of money and prizes and earn a place in history.Junior Novice

The Novice divisions took on the cross-country phase of the 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover and Nutrena® today at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, N.C.. Black clouds loomed on the horizon, obscuring the view Blue Ridge Mountains, but the weather was on the Novice riders’ side as the final division wrapped up just minutes before the massive storm broke over the show grounds, drenching Training level riders still competing in the show jumping.

Mill Spring, N.C. – September 1, 2017 – The United States Equestrian Association (USEA), Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), and organizers of the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover and Nutrena® have released a joint statement to announce a schedule change for the Adequan® USEA Advanced Gold Cup Final. The cross-country phase will now be hosted on Sunday, September 3, beginning at 9:45 a.m. on the White Oak Complex at TIEC.

While the leaders of the four Professional’s Choice Training divisions went unchanged after tackling Captain Mark Phillips’ cross-country course, there are now four new Preliminary leaders after the completion of the first day of cross-country at the 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover and Nutrena. As they say, it’s not over until it’s over, and these riders will show jump over Chris Barnard’s course tomorrow before we crown the winners of these divisions.Professional’s Choice Junior Training

It was a wet day at the Tryon International Equestrian Center for the second day of dressage competition at the 2017 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Land Rover and Nutrena. All five of the Novice division took their turn in the sand box, and the Adequan USEA Gold Cup Final kicked off with each of the 24-horse field strutting their stuff in the George Morris arena. All Training and Preliminary divisions took to Captain Mark Phillips’ cross-country course today, check back soon on the USEA Website for a full recap.
