The US Equestrian (USEF) has announced the recipients of 2018 Land Rover/USEF Eventing Competition Grants and USET Foundation Jacqueline B. Mars International Competition Grant, and approved the following athletes for the 2018 Fall Eventing Training List. The following athletes have received funding for FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ The Netherlands in Boekelo, The Netherlands, from October 11-14, 2018: Doug Payne (Aiken, S.C.) received a USET Foundation Jacqueline B. Mars International Competition Grant.

US Equestrian recently updated our notification process for Safe Sport temporary suspensions and lifetime bans.  US Equestrian continually evaluates our communication strategy to ensure we provide our members with meaningful information in a timely manner.  Currently, we post the temporary suspensions and banned individuals list online which is available to the public. We suggest members and the media check this list on a regular basis to stay informed.

In a continued effort to raise the standard of eventing show jumping course design in the United States, US Equestrian has announced its plans for the 2018 Eventing Show Jumping Course Advisor Program. After reviewing all FEI level eventing show jumping courses in 2017, US Equestrian Eventing Show Jumping Course Advisor Richard Jeffery will turn his focus to 12 National Horse Trial show jumping courses across the preliminary and intermediate levels in 2018.

It was a Cinderella story for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team at the 2018 FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Great Britain. The team comprising Katherine Coleman and 2018 Karen Stives Endowment Fund Grant recipients Caroline Martin and Hallie Coon clinched the silver medal under the guidance of Chef d’Equipe Leslie Law with a score of 109.1 during the second leg of the 2018 FEI Nations Cup series.Law, who also serves as the Emerging Athlete Coach for the Karen Stives Endowment Emerging Athletes Tour, was pleased with the team’s performance and focus during each phase of the event.

The US Equestrian (USEF) Eventing Sport Committee has approved the following 15 athletes from a pool of applicants for the Emerging Athlete Eventing 25 program for 2018. This follows the list of athletes named to the Emerging Athlete Eventing 18 program list. Talent Advisors evaluated several factors to determine the Emerging Athlete Eventing 25 program participants including current form, competition results, and potential to make a valuable contribution in team competition.

The USEF (US Equestrian) Equine Disaster Relief Fund has received incredibly generous support from the equestrian community, with over half a million dollars raised to date in response to the devastation and flooding caused recently by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. With raging wildfires spreading throughout areas of California and continued relief needed in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands, there is still a need for funding to directly assist equines of any breed who are victims of natural disasters such as these.
