Australian Olympian Clayton Fredericks, 44, has been named as the new Canadian Eventing International Technical Advisor effectively becoming the team coach and will assume the role on January 1, 2013.  The new position became available at the right time in his highly successful international career as a competitor and Australian team member.

Her first book, "Ten Conformation Myths" was a hit as it dispelled the major misconceptions about equine conformation.

In 2001, Rolex created the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing. This prize is awarded to any rider who wins each of the Rolex Grand Slam Events, namely the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials consecutively.

Lifelong horseman Elkins “Elky” Wetherill passed away on August 11, 2011 at his summer home in Waldoboro, ME. He was 91. Mr. Wetherill had resided in Plymouth Meeting, PA since 1949.

LANDENBERG, Pa. - Avondale police are investigating the case of a thoroughbred whose owner says was stolen from her home. Jill Potts says Studley, a former race horse owned by Potts, was last seen on Church Road Hill in Landenberg, Pa. Studley was reportedly being led away from her property with a rope around his neck on Saturday. Police are investigating the case as a horse theft. For more information, read the press release.

International event rider, Allison Springer, has chosen the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA)  as her official charity and specifically the NARHA Horses for Heroes program.  The program assists military veterans through services offered by NARHA members at its centers by providing leadership and guidance for equine assisted activities and therapies.
