Welcome to Powder Basin Horse Trials 2017.

We have a vastly updated cross country course this year with many new fences.  Course update by Alessandra Allen-Shinn.

Entry limited to 60 horses.  

We are excited to have you come and school.  $30.00 per schooling day or even better join our club for $30.00 individual, $50.00 family.  Ride as often as you like.  Opening to be announced.  Look for the announcement on the PBEA website.

Plan to join us Saturday night 7/8 for a participant and volunteer party. Always a good time!!  Check the website closer to the event for any special games and competitions that night.

Come early and participate in the Dressage Schooling Show on Friday. One free test for a commitment from you or a family member  to be a xc jump judge on Saturday afternoon 7/8!   See the PBEA website for entry.

From I-90 East or West: Exit 129 south 1 mile. Camplex facility on left. At 4-way stop intersection, take Boxelder east 1/2 mile to entrance of stabling.
From South Highway 59: At second traffic light, take Southern Dr. east & north. 2 miles to Camplex, At 4-way stop intersection take Boxelder . mile east to entrance of stabling. Follow sign to stabling, Cross- country course, 1/2 mile east of racetrack and stabling.

Fees:

Event Fee Directory: Draw checks to PBEA.
Entry: PT/T//N/BN  $200.00.  Intro: $150.00. No additional USEA fees for Intro.
Stabling:  $100.00 for the weekend - one bag of bedding included.
Camping:  No RV Hook-ups available.

·         Intro participants are exempt from USEA membership/non membership fees and the USEA Starter Fee does not apply. 

·         If entering electronically, payment, signature page, coggins and vaccination record must be postmarked within 5 days of entering. 

·         If space allows and post entries are accepted they will be charged an additional $30 late fee. ANY entry postmarked after Closing Date will be considered a late entry and the $30 late fee applies.

·         Additionally, any electronic entry made prior to Closing Date must be COMPLETED within 5 days after Closing or will also be considered a late entry and charged the $30 late fee. Late fee policy will be strictly adhered to!

·         Scratches/Changes must be in writing via email only. CHANGES after closing date will be charged $30.  

·         Negative Coggins within 12 months and equine influenza virus and equine herpes virus (rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables.

·         Health Certificates required for out of state horses. Brand inspection required in WY.

Entries:

·         All entries include a $25 non-refundable office fee.

·         BN and above must be USEA members and horses must be registered with USEA. 

·         Intro is exempt from USEA Starter/D&M fees and USEA membership/non-membership fees are waived. ·        

·         $30.00 fee for any changes or entries after closing date.

·         Double entries: Not accepted. 

·         If using Xentry please remember that entry must be paid & signed paper copy sent to secretary to be considered entered. 

·         Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-Entry-No refund.

·         Competition Cancellation: Rrefund after competition expenditures. 

·         USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($21), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

·         Entry Status will be posted on Startbox:  www.startboxscoring.com

Competitor Information
Awards:

Awards & ribbons to 6th place after each division. Three (3) 1st place winners receive the coveted Powder Basin Belt Buckle.

Stabling/Veterinarian:
Fri-Sun $100.00 for the weekend. $25.00 cleaning fee if not stripped.  100 perm stalls on grounds. Stall doors included. One bag of shavings provided.  Additional shavings will be available to purchase at the office. Send stabling form, cleaning deposit $25.00 (separate check) & money with entry to secretary. Veterinarian: Red Hills Vet Clinic, (307) 696-2525.

Cross-Country:
We have built a lot of new jumps this year, updating the course with more standard portable fences.  Terrain is substantial so fit horses are suggested. Intro has water options and a half ditch, height goes to 2’3” and there are new intro jumps.  PT/T- 2400m @ 450 mpm. N-2150m @ 400 mpm. BN-2000m @ 350 mpm. Intro: 1800m @300 mpm - Fairly level.  All times and distances are approximate. Cross-country course closes June 26th.
Other Information:
Cross-country course closes June 26th.  Food on grounds. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AND ATTACHED TO A PERSON AT ALL TIMES. Competitor Party Free to all - Saturday evening at Office.
