Address: For GPS use, 30 Westwoods Road, Skiff Mountain, Kent, CT 06359
From South: Route 7 north to Kent to traffic light to left on Route 341. Over bridge 6 immediate right for 4.5 miles to top of hill. Continue straight past turnoff to Marvelwood School.
From West: Route 684 to Route 22 North to Route 55 East. At end of Route 55, left to Route 7 north to Kent to traffic light. As above.
From North: Route 7 south to Kent to traffic light, right on Route 341. From East: Route 341 west to Kent to traffic light. As above.

Tentative Schedule:

Sat: Cross-country course open Saturday-3 pm.
Sun: Dressage-8 am; Show Jumping-9:30 am; Cross-country-11 am.

Starting Times:
A preliminary time schedule will be posted on Wednesday, October 2 with update at week's end at www.area1usea.org. If you need times mailed, include SAE with entry.

Entry: All divisions: $170.00
Stabling: $70.00 plus $25 clean stall deposit refunded after stalls are stripped and checked
Entries:
Entry fee includes $25 non-refundable office fee. Please CLEARLY PRINT email address on your entry form. Double entries: Accepted no fee. Divisions may be split if necessary. Please state age and experience on entry form. If overbooked, management reserves right to limit a rider to 2 horses in competition. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay extra $25 with entry. Priority given to USEA members. 
Refunds: Before C.D. - Less $25 non-refundable office fee. All refund requests in writing-use e-mail. Telephone requests will not be considered or accepted; After C.D.-Entry less $25 ONLY if place can be filled from wait list/Stabling-In full. Competition cancellation-No Refund Neg. Coggins required for all horses within 12 months of the competition date. CT State Law requires all horse to have proof of current rabies vaccination - Please include with entry. Ambulance on grounds. All vans & trailers park in designated areas, not in stable yard. No hookups.  Late entries will be considered if event is not full, please contact the secretary or check USEA Area I website for posted information.
Competitor Information
Awards:
Trophy & 8 ribbons per division plus 1st place dressage ribbon in each division with Kent School pewter bowl trophy for first place in each division.
Special Awards: BN & N Adult Amateur Master (45-55 years) & Adult Amateur Vintage Awards (56+ years) best performance score.  
Special Gillian and Hart Perry Sportsmanship Award, awarded to the individual that exemplifies good sportsmanship during the competition.
Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) Awards: 1- Beginner Novice Low Point Thoroughbred Award, $25 prize money and prize 2- Novice Low Point Thoroughbred Award, $25 prize money and prize.  3- Training Low Point Thoroughbred Award, $50 prize money and prize. 
Eligibility, Only Thoroughbreds that have been registered with the Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club ar eligible to participate in T.I.P. classes and awards.  NEW for 2013 - Riders and owners should obtain a TIP number for all horse/rider combinations.  TIP number applications are done online at http://www.tjctip.com TIP numbers must be provided to the Kent School Fall Horse Trials show office. Hard copy forms will be available in the office.
Stabling/Veterinarian:
All stabling on grounds in permanent stalls, however, only a limited number of stalls are available on a first come first serve basis. $70/stall with a separate check for each horse, please.  Stalls must be thoroughly cleaned (stripped) and checked prior to departure for return of stall deposit. Stall doors/ initial bedding, only, provided. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: All P/T 2010 USEF Preliminary Test B Sm. All T-2010 USEF Training Test B-Sm. All N-2010 USEF Novice Test A-Sm. BN-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. Arenas: All Arenas and warm up on Grass
Cross-Country:
All T- 2000 m @ 420 mpm. All N-up to 2000 m @ 375 mpm. All BN-up to 2000 m @ 325 mpm, max. height 2' 7''. All courses: Inviting, for horses with some experience at these levels.  Appropiate for moving up a level with a few changes and improvements from the spring horse trials and faster speeds for N & BN.  There is a natural water crossing at each level. Some new fences have been added. 
New Break Away Cross Country Safety Flagging, on all fences at all levels, sponsored by Salisbury Bank & Trust, Lakeville, CT.
  
Other Information:
Cross-country course closed September 13.
Entry limit 150. Divisions further divided/combined if entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry.
Brennan's Supermarket food on grounds.  Compliments of Kent School, competitors welcome food and beverages at Headquarters Tent Saturday October 6th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.  XC pinny holder required with # insert provided.  There will be a limited number of holders available on grounds for $20 each.  Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted.  Dogs must be leashed at all times. No hay or feed available for sale.
