1. Entries:
We encourage EARLY Entries by offering better refund policy. ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSING DATE! Entries received after C.D. are subject to a $30 post entry fee. Changes to Entry; After C.D.-$25, prior to C.D. no charge. Incomplete entry $20. Fee includes a $25 non-refundable office fee. Double Entries: Accepted, non-refundable $20 fee. BN competitors who are not USEA members must pay additional $25 with entry. Pinney deposit = $30. Separate check payable to Coconino Horse Trials with entry. Full Refund Before CD: After C.D. until July 6 less $25 office fee; July 7-9-entry credit only; Stabling no refund. after July 9 no refund, unless either entry or stabling can be filled from a waitlist, refund for either less $25 office fee will be given After CD: Competition cancellation-No refund. 2. Tentative Schedule:
Thur: T3D in-barn inspection, 9 am to Noon. T3D trot-up-1 pm; Show Jumping schooling-9 am (ticketed and assigned ride times); Cross-country course open-3 pm. Mandatory briefing-4 pm. YEH divisions.
3. Awards:
8 Ribbons per division. Prizes. Prize money: I=$100/1st Place; P=$400; T=$400; N=$400; BN=$300!!! Prize money (P-BN) paid by check to best three scores per level; available at office after prize giving.
5. Stabling/Veterinarian:
Stabling is limited; 200 permanent stalls on grounds. Stall doors provided; $125/stall Thursday 8 am to Monday 8 am; includes initial bedding. Please order your shaving from sec'y before you arrive. Additional days: $25/day. $50.00 Stall Cleaning Deposit, separate check, stall must be stripped or deposit will be cashed. Tack stalls: $125 only if available due to limited stabling. $25 trailer-in fee per day for non-stabled horses. $45 per day fee for non-competing horses; includes stabling, but no bedding. Non-competing horses will be issued bridle tags that must be worn at all times beginning at 3pm Thurs. Feed/hay/bedding available for purchase; further info from sec´y. Stabling requests must accompany entry. Veterinarian: Dr. Martin Crabo, will be on site. Farrier: Edward Powers, will be on site. Phone numbers posted on score board.

8. Dressage:
Test & arena sizes: I-2010 USEF Intermediate Test A-Std. P-2010 USEF Preliminary Test B-Sm. T3D -2010 USEF Training 3-Day Event Test-Std. T-2010 USEF Training Test B-Sm. N-2010 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. BN/Pre-comp-2010 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm. CT's will use the same dressage tests as the horse trials; CT-A-2010 USEF Advanced Test A-Std. Arenas: Cinders & Sand.
9. Cross-Country:
I-3200 m @ 550 mpm. P3D-XC - 3200 m @ 520 mpm. P-2800 m @ 520 mpm. T3D- XC - 2400m @ 450mpm. T-2400 m @ 420 mpm. N-2000 m @ 375 mpm. BN-1600 m 350 mpm. Terrain: High elevation, water on all courses; BN water option. All courses: Average, for horses with some experience at these levels. Some changes on courses.
10. Other Information:
Cross-country course closed. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and rider´s birth date on entry. Entry limit: 200. Dogs must be leashed. $50 fine for loose dogs; money donated to the course development fund. No unauthorized motorized vehicles on the cross-country course. Teams of 3-4, best 3 scores count, team members at same level, $5/person. Party: 6:30 pm, Saturday, buffet, one ticket included with entry. Additional tickets $15. This is the final HT of the Coconino Challenge (P-BN), high point prizes to be awarded on Sunday. Shows to count will be Spring Coconino, St. Johns, Summer Coconino I, & Summer Coconino II. The TR-3 Day Test is planned to be an educational fun competition. We will teach you how to present your horse for the trot-ups. Give yourself a chance to school a steeplechase fence. Learn all about the vet box. There will be talks every day from top riders and instructors on all the phases of a 3-day competition. |
