It is with deepest regret that we announce that Chummin, owned and ridden by Lisa Peecook, expired on course in the CCI1* without Steeplechase of the Galway Downs International Three-Day Event in Temecula, California, USA.

Chummin, a 7-year-old, gelding, collapsed between fences 15 & 16. There was a full paramedic and veterinary team present within moments of the collapse. There was no indication of distress prior to the incident. There will be a necropsy performed on Chummin.

Ms. Peecook was checked by medical personnel on site and was released. The organizers and officials of the Galway Downs International Three-Day Event would like to extend their deepest sympathy to the Peecook Family.
