Christan Trainor & Sea Accounts Siler City, N.C. Event rider Christan Trainor is pleased to announce the acquisition of the sportpony stallion D.C. al Coda, full younger brother to the eventing pony Theodore O’Connor, gold medal winner at the 2007 Pan Am Games.

D.C. al Coda was acquired from his breeder, P. Wynn Norman of Ocala, Florida; who is also the breeder of Theodore O’Connor, known as Teddy.

image Trainor, who trained the now famous Teddy from 2003 to 2005 and took him from Preliminary to Advanced in competitions, was so taken with the prowess of the pony that she could not miss this opportunity to own his brother. Trainor, describing Coda, said “he reminds me so much of his big brother it is uncanny, with the same amazing jump and big stride.” She went on to say,

“I am grateful to Wynn for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Teddy’s career and I am really excited to be able to continue with the full brother.”

D.C. al Coda, a three year old chestnut, (shown at left with his breeder P.Wynn Norman of Sportponies Unlimited) will reside in North Carolina, where Trainor is based. Plans are to show him in the FEH competition this year and to begin training under saddle later in the year. Currently, a syndication is being put together to insure he is able to reach his potential both as a sire and a competition horse.

DeBracy Sport Horses will be managing and booking breedings this year. They are the owners of Trainor’s current #1 competition horse, the 1999 TB stallion Sea Accounts who is moving into the FEI ranks this year and is an exciting prospect for the 4* level.
