dsc_0384 The Advanced division at the AEC this year may be small, but it’s mighty! With six of the top horses and riders in the country competing for over $5,000 in cash and amazing prizes, the competition was fierce today on the cross-country course, and the standings were shaken quite a bit. Nate Chambers and his longtime partner Rolling Stone II leapt into first with a fast and clear round, while overnight leader Leslie Law and Peter Green’s Evening Shade grabbed a handful of time penalties to drop into fourth. Meanwhile, Law jumped up to second aboard the experienced gelding Fleeceworks Mystere du Val. Tomorrow’s show jumping should be especially exciting, as less than a rail separate most of the riders in this class. Photos by Emily Daily & Erica Larson. Complete results.
