Area V is the first in 2017 to host a Town Hall Meeting! Come share your opinions and suggestions on the issues facing our sport. Town hall meetings are be free and open to all with a stake in U.S. Eventing. This Area V Town Hall is to be held at the Texas Rose Horse Park HT on Friday, March 31, 2017 in the indoor arena 90 minutes prior to the competitor’s party. Please check the weekend of for an exact time.

Attention all new USEA members who have registered and paid accounts through February 20, 2017. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, there has been an issue with the printing of membership cards. Because of this, you may not have yet received your membership packet, but all new member materials have been shipped and should arrive in the coming days. After receiving feedback from USEA members, the USEA's Future Event Horse (FEH) Committee has decided to add a 4-year-old division to the FEH program in order to provide more opportunities to the USEA membership. This opens up a new window for those 4-year-olds not yet ready for the Young Event Horse (YEH) competitions, and allows owners the opportunity to still compete in a class for their age group.

(USEA) is currently searching for qualified applicants for the position of Marketing Assistant OR Coordinator (depending on experience) at the Association’s headquarters in Leesburg, Virginia. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and experience with eventing and equestrian sport is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Competitors please be aware that the “50 Penalty Rule” will not be enforced at National Eventing Competitions in 2017.As the FEI is testing the “50 Penalty Rule,” The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced to Organizers that they will not be enforcing this rule, which appears in the rulebook under EV141.1 a. 6 and EV142.2 b, by way of a Presidential Modification.
