The USEA is looking forward to the second annual USEA Intercollegiate Championships at the Virginia Horse Trials May 25-28, 2017. Competitors are urged to read the previous press release, which includes pertinent information about the Championships, including scoring and team dynamics as well as stabling and prize information. All schools and team riders are encouraged to take a few moments to review it and distribute to other members of their team.

All Areas are encouraged to host a town hall meeting once again! Come share your opinions and suggestions on the issues facing our sport. Town hall meetings are be free and open to all with a stake in U.S. Eventing.This post will be updated to reflect the exact time when it is announced. Light snacks and water will be provided.

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is excited to announce their new partnership with Nelson Manufacturing Company. As a Contributing Level Sponsor for this year’s USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC), Nelson Manufacturing is generously awarding a watering system as a prize for the 2017 AEC.  The AEC will be held August 30- September 3, 2017 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

The sport of eventing lost another legendary horse last week. John Williams’ Olympic and World Equestrian Games partner Carrick was euthanized last Friday, April 14. Carrick was 25.The pair proudly rode for the United States at the 2002 World Equestrian Games where they finished fourth and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens where Team USA finished bronze.

After receiving feedback from USEA members, the USEA's Future Event Horse (FEH) Committee has decided to add a 4-year-old division to the FEH program in order to provide more opportunities to the USEA membership. This opens up a new window for those 4-year-olds not yet ready for the Young Event Horse (YEH) competitions, and allows owners the opportunity to still compete in a class for their age group.

(USEA) is currently searching for qualified applicants for the position of Marketing Assistant OR Coordinator (depending on experience) at the Association’s headquarters in Leesburg, Virginia. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, are encouraged to apply. Knowledge and experience with eventing and equestrian sport is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
