USEA Online Auction Success

Another immensely successful USEA online auction has come to a close and what a hit it was. Critical to raising much needed funds that help support many of the USEA programs that go above and beyond our regular services, the online auctions are proving a great way for both our sponsors and members to give the sport a leg up -- it’s a win-win!

This auction was no exception and was well supported by our faithful sponsors and wonderful members. Here is a little feedback from some of the winners –

We are planning on more auctions in 2009 so stay tuned and get your bidding fingers primed.

In the meantime, this is a great time of year for a spring clean through all that horsey equipment and getting rid of that 78” blanket that no longer fits your new Oldenburg, or last year’s galloping boots that have now been replaced thanks to Aunt Beatrice and her amazing insight into what you really needed for Christmas.

Well, a great way to make room in the tack trunk and make a little extra cash is to sell all those unused but loved items on eBay and pass along their usefulness to someone else. And the great thing about eBay is that through their subsidiary, MissionFish, you can also support the USEA. When you go to list an item for sale or auction on eBay scroll about two thirds of the way down the selling page and you will see a section called “eBay Giving Works”. Here you can search for the USEA and donate a portion of your sales to the USEA. To search for the USEA, look up “United States Eventing” and then set the percentage of your sales that you would like to give to the association. It’s a generous and easy way to continue year round gifting to the USEA as well as clear out some old gear and make some money for new.
